Cross Speech and Language Center provides services to adults and children with difficulties in communication (verbal, written, listening, etc.) or swallowing. Children seen through the Center may have a wide variety of problems, including cerebral palsy, cleft palate, developmental delay, articulation disorder, language delay, dysfluency (stuttering), attention deficits, and hearing loss. We also treat those with acquired disorders, such as strokes, laryngectomies, Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, multiple sclerosis, brain injury, hearing loss, and any other disorder causing difficulty in communicating or swallowing. Therapy is provided in a variety of settings including in-home therapy. Our speech pathologists endeavor to involve the family as much as possible and to coordinate with hospitals and/or school programs to promote a collaborative team approach and consistency in treatment.
