Laura is a Santa Maria native, and a graduate of St. Joseph High School. She earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree from the

University of San Diego in 1997, and her Juris Doctor Degree from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska in 2000. After graduating from law school, Laura returned home to the sunny Central Coast to practice law. Laura is involved in several local organizations including Special Olympics as a track and field coach and a member of the Special Needs Network, Inc. She is a member of the State Bar of California and serves as a Member at Large of the Board for the Northern Santa Barbara County Bar Association.
